Team MacLean's Visit

I think the session with Team MacLean was brilliant, partly due to their appearance and the way they dressed up. They explained to us that when they do their job they set goals for themselves. I really do like their job, it only took 3 months for them to finish the course and become qualified Real Estate agents. Their job as a real estate agent means they sell homes on behalf of people. They ensure the house sells for what it is worth, or in some cases more. A job as a real estate agent is hard due to the fact they have to make a profit out of the house while paying tax! They really inspired me to work harder and reach my goals. Even though I don’t want to be a real estate agent I still think it’s a nice job or a backup in case something bad happens to my neurologist career. I love how they advertise with confidence and even if they get turned down by customers it doesn't stop them. I’ll never forget this day with Team MacLean! By Harry Room 2

Temepara Bailey

Temepara Bailey has taught me a few things in just a short time and the most important message is, to never give up! Also, taking small steps can lead into something more if you just believe in yourself. Focus on your goals and try and achieve them. If you fall, just get back up because it’s not the end of the world. You have years and years to improve on your mistakes. Don’t let that put you down. While Temepara was speaking, she reminded me of one of my favourite quotes. That is, “Forget what has hurt you in the past but never forget what it taught you.” She didn’t make it to the team she wanted with just the snap of her fingers. She stood up and kept walking. Temepara also said that if you really want something in life, you would do whatever it takes to reach it. Never let those who are trying to put you down, step on you. The important thing is following your dreams and doing what people say you cannot do.
. That is what Temepara did and that is what I am going to do! Written by: Joana Panahon 

Internet Safety - How can we keep safe on the internet

What's happening in the senior school?

What are we learning about in Glenville?

Welcome to Glenville's Blog. We are currently setting up our Glenville community. So far, we have developed an economy, organised the layout of our town and have established the streets that we live on, we even pay rent! We are currently learning 'what makes a community and how it functions'. Then we will be researching professions, choosing ones we are interested in, writing cvs, applying for jobs and earning a weekly wage! Miss McDonell even gave us each our first car and registered them to be used on Glenville roads. We each have a unique number plate that identifies our cars. Miss McDonell said we can save up and upgrade our cars over the course of the year. We have to pay for fuel, warrent of fitnesses and registrations. Practising being a grown up is so much fun! We are learning the difference between 'needs and wants', how to save and spend our money wisely. We are also learning how to unite as a community, cooperate and appreciate each other. Follow us as we begin this exciting journey of learning.....
