Room 2's Topic Study Evaluations.
Today Room 2 have been evaluating their healthy eating unit of learning. The questions posed were:- Did I like my healthy option?
- What were my favourites and why?
- What have I learnt from this experience?
What are some of the barriers young people face when trying to eat healthy? Time, cost and healthy options seem less appealing. How can we overcome these issues? Citizens of Glenville decided to see if they could encourage Glenavon students to make healthier choices by selling affordable healthy snacks and lunches this week. They had to create shopping lists using the Countdown online app, stick to a budget and pay back the cost of the products they used. Some students even made a profit!! Well done Glenville your food was delicious and nutritious!
Faith- We are learning the overarm serve. This will help us in our game and assist us later when we are spiking.
Today we are developing our hand eye co ordination. We are learning to set the ball by using our fingers to spring it up into the air. This technique will help us during the game.
Wow! Adding colour to our still life drawings has really made our artwork come alive!! Today we learnt how to use watercolours. Some of us even developed our colour blending techniques. I can't wait to see how they turn out.
This term our students are developing their skills in Volleyball. Today we practised our catching and digging techniques.
